Happy Tails: Something to Wag About!!
Troop’s Journey: Troop was rescued by a Burke County resident, Kathy Perry, as he wandered a country highway looking for food. Kathy nearly witnessed Troop’s end, as he narrowly escaped being crushed by a speeding truck. Instead of Troop’s end, however, that day was his new beginning. Kathy stopped her car and coaxed Troop in. After no one claimed Troop, Kathy took him into her home as a foster. Troop then journeyed on a Dixie Dog transport to New England, where he was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Colpitts. Today, Troop knows love and those sweet moments that only a forever family can supply.
My wife and I adopted TROOP on September 2, 2008. He's a great dog and is always with our 4 year old Border Collie, Lucky. So I thought I would write and thank you for saving Troop.
