The small group of concerned animal lovers that united to form Old Fella has built an impressive and effective animal rescue operation. Using contributions and community spirit, they have set into motion positive change for the less fortunate, homeless, abused and neglected companion animals of Burke County, Georgia.
Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue is a private, non-profit organization. We receive no federal, state or municipal funding. Donors, corporate sponsors and, most importantly, members make the difference in keeping Old Fella alive. Supporting Old Fella demonstrates your commitment to ending animal cruelty and neglect, reducing pet overpopulation, and educating our community about its responsibility for animals. Your support helps fund vital Old Fella activities and services, such as:
- Providing food, housing, veterinary care, socialization and behavior training for the animals in our foster care program who await a forever home.
- Paying for Spay-Neuter surgeries for Old Fella rescues, and low-income households in our area.
- Transporting Old Fella Rescues to forever homes up and down the east coast.
- Presenting Humane Education programs to the Fourth Grade students of Burke County, teaching compassion and the responsibilities of being a pet owner.
